Meet The Little Mermaid and other Ariel experiences at Walt Disney World
If you have someone who loves The Little Mermaid movie then going to meet The Little Mermaid, Ariel is something you will want to do when you are visiting Walt Disney World Parks. Here are all the places you can meet Ariel and all The Little Mermaid experiences within Walt Disney World.
WHERE CAN YOU MEET THE LITTLE MERMAID
Ariel’s Grotto in the Magic Kingdom
You can meet Ariel at her Grotto in Fantasy Land at the Magic Kingdom, this is the only place you can meet The Little Mermaid as a mermaid.
If Ariel is a must-see character you can get a fast pass to see her.
It is just too cute when kids meet the princesses for the first time, my daughters looked at them so starry-eyed, you will definitely want to capture that moment so have your cameras ready. If you have the photo pass the photographers are usually really good about capturing everything from the time you walk in to meet them, they will usually photograph you and the characters first greeting and hugging the kids and everyone.
My daughters first time meeting Ariel she asked her where Flounder was and Ariel told her he was out swimming, so for the rest of that day she kept wanting to hang around the castle and watch the water around there to see if she could see Flounder.
WHERE YOU CAN MEET PRINCESS ARIEL
CHARACTER DINNERS
You can also meet Ariel and a few other princesses at a character dinner. This would be a great way to meet a few princesses if you have more than one on your must-see list.
Not all the character dinners have the photo pass available, but the times we have been you can get a photo pass photo with the host princess you meet before going into the dinner (Cinderella at her castle and Belle
at Akerhaus Hall), the photographers might not be available when you are meeting the other princesses during the meal so make sure you have your camera ready.
CINDERELLA’S ROYAL TABLE
Ariel is one of the princesses you can meet at Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. This is a popular experience so advance reservations are almost always needed and can be made 180 days in advance. You meet Cinderella, your host, going into this dinner and the other princesses come and meet you at your table during the meal. The other princesses listed to meet here are Jasmine, Snow White, Ariel, and Aurora, this is subject to change at any time. We went to this dinner years ago and meet the Fairy Godmother, she is not listed as appearing but has an appearance within the park hours at the Magic Kingdom.
AKERSHUS ROYAL BANQUET HALL
You can also meet Ariel at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot within the Norway pavilion. Belle hosts this meal and I think you meet here going into the meal like the other Royal dinner at Cinderella’s Castle but I have not been to this diner to be sure, it is on my list of places to eat. The other princesses you can expect to meet during this dinner are Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel and Aurora. Appearances are subject to change.
SOME OTHER THE LITTLE MERMAID EXPERIENCES AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
UNDER THE SEA-JOURNEY OF THE LITTLE MERMAID
You can enjoy this ride when you are in the Magic Kingdom. You board a clamshell for this journey and visit different scenes from The Little Mermaid movie. All the characters from
the movie are in the ride, Ariel, Prince Eric, Scuttle, Flounder, Sebastian, Ursula
and others as you travel through the underwater adventure (not really
underwater).
VOYAGE OF THE LITTLE MERMAID SHOW
Hollywood Studios has a live show with scenes from the movie performed
by puppets and actors. The show includes music and scenes from the
movies with some movie clips included.
EVEN MORE LITTLE MERMAID
Of course, there are some other places you can see Ariel and see short clips from the Little Mermaid movie.
Ariel and some of her Little Mermaid friends have a float in the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Short movie clips can be seen in some of the shows, including Happily Ever After fireworks show and Once Upon a Time castle show.
Have you had a chance to meet Ariel? Did you see her or her friends anywhere else in the park? I would love to see some of your experiences!
