BE OUR GUEST RESTAURANT

BE OUR GUEST RESTAURANT

Be Our Guest Restaurant is a Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant where you can eat in the Beast’s castle. It is located at the Magic Kingdom in the Beauty and the Beast themed area of Fantasyland.
Eating at the Be Our Guest restaurant was on my Disney bucket list, I couldn’t wait to go and it took weeks before we could get a reservation and when we did finally get a reservation it was for six months away, it seemed like forever. Disney did not disappoint though and I would wait again to eat at the Beast’s castle! The restaurant has perfect theming and Disney thought of everything to make this a magical meal.
We ate dinner at the restaurant, they do serve breakfast and lunch but you can not meet the Beast during those times. We wanted to meet the Beast so I didn’t even try to get reservations for breakfast or lunch, it might be easier to get a reservation at those times. There are a few different items on the menu, you can check it out ahead of time online. If you don’t have a chance to check it out online there is a menu posted at the entrance area and you can see the different food items that are offered.
They check you in 10 minutes before your reservations. After you check in you wait on the bridge or the entrance area and they will come out and call your party’s name and escort you inside through the castle doors. It feels so magical to get to walk through the giant castle doors that are guarded by the giant lion statues.

MAKE RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME

This is a popular place to eat and the reservations fill up quickly so you will want to make reservations 180 days ahead of your trip, seriously, I tried for a while before I could get anything and I was only making a reservation for 2. It is probably harder to get for larger parties. Even though this is a hard reservation to get I think is it worth it, especially if you have a Beauty and the Beast lover in your group.

THE MEAL

The meal is a 3 course meal and I am pretty sure the menu changes regularly so what my daughter and I had for dinner might not be on the menu all the time. It is currently $60 per person and if you are on the dining plan it is 2 credits.

The first course, the appetizer, you choose one from the list on the menu, I chose Mixed Field Greens. It was delicious, mixed greens with sunflower seed brittle and citrus dressing, the sunflower seed brittle was sweet with a different taste and the citrus dressing was tangy and they were good together and I am not a big salad person but the other things on the list did not appeal to me. My daughter had the French Onion Soup, with crouton (bread) at the bottom of the bowl and cheeses, she enjoyed it.

Salad at Be Our Guest

The main course, entrees, we both got the filet mignon with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This was delicious and probably the best steak I have ever had (don’t tell my husband). It was served with mashed potatoes and some seasonal vegetable (I think it was turnips and rhubarb). I am not a fan of turnips or rhubarb but they were great.

Filet Mignon at Be Our Guest

The dessert was a trio of treats, I like the fact that you didn’t have to chose and you could try them all, especially the grey stuff… it was delicious The three treats you were served were a macaroon with raspberries, dark chocolate truffle with Grand Marnier ganache and a white chocolate “chip” cup filled with the grey stuff, it was not only delicious it was so cute I almost didn’t want to eat. When the waiter brought us the desserts he said that the paper was also edible, so of course we had to try it. After trying it we asked the waiter about it because it didn’t taste like anything. He said it was rice paper. Everyone looked at us like we were crazy because we asked about eating the paper.

DINING ROOMS

The Grand Ballroom:

The Grand Ballroom is gorgeous with the high ceiling, beautiful chandeliers and marble walls, you can look out the windows in the back of this room and see the snow falling in the enchanted forest. You feel like you are really dining in a castle. We ate in this room when we went for dinner.

The West Wing:

How cool that they have a west wing that you can eat in?? Even if you do not get to eat in this room you can visit it and see the enchanted rose and the torn painting of the prince. This room seemed to be where large groups were seated.

The Castle Gallery:

This is the library and there is a statue of Belle and the Beast dancing. We just walked into this room and looked around, we didn’t walk all the way around. They encourage you to go see the other rooms in the castle besides the room you are dining in.

MEET THE BEAST

If you are having dinner at Be Our Guest you will have a chance to meet the Beast, he doesn’t meet guests during breakfast or lunch though so keep that in mind when making reservations. Before leaving the castle you can walk past all the knights of armor and meet the Beast.

I am not a foodie but I thought the food was fantastic and the atmosphere and theming were superb. The cast members here were genuinely nice and friendly. That is only one of the many things I love about Disney, their cast members are the best and always helpful and friendly.

Where to meet Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite Disney movies, who doesn’t love a classic Disney princess romance. You can meet Belle when you are visiting Walt Disney World at a few different places. You can also meet some other Beauty and the Beast characters and enjoy some other Beauty and the Beast experiences. There are a lot of great picture taking opportunities while you are enjoying the different Beauty and the Beast experiences.

WHERE TO MEET BELLE

Meet Belle in France

French Pavilion in Epcot

You can meet Belle in the French Pavilion in Epcot during certain times, check the daily times guide to see the times she is available to meet. This is an outside area she meets guest at and they usually cut the line off when it is getting close to the end of the meeting times so get there early. Belle is wearing her blue dress and apron at this meeting.

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Enchanted Tales with Belle is in the Beauty and the Beast themed area in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. This storybook adventure starts at Belle and Maurice’s cottage. Then you are transported through a magic mirror to the Beast’s castle. Once in the castle you meet the Enchanted Wardrobe from the Beauty and the Beast movie and guests are chosen to participate in the story that will be told. Once inside the story room Lumiere starts the story and Belle comes in and the chosen guests participate in the story. Belle is in her beautiful, golden ball gown for this experience. There are some great photo opportunities in this experience, especially if your children are taking part. Belle thanks them all and poses for a picture with everyone. The rooms are not large and the wait for this experience can be long so if you want to see this enchanted tale you should probably get a fast pass.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Belle is the host of the dining experience at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, you can meet her and some other princesses while you are dining. This is a good choice if meeting a few princesses is on your list. The website lists that you can expect to meet these princesses – Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora and Ariel. Please keep in mind that appearances at the dinner are subject to change but there are always some princesses to meet. Reservations should be made ahead of time and they fill up fast for this popular dining experience, I mean who wouldn’t want to eat with a bunch of princesses in a medieval castle! I have not been to this restaurant yet but it is on my Disney bucket list, so hopefully someday.

Other Beauty and the Beast Experiences

Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage show

Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage at Hollywood Studios

Beauty and the Beast Stage Live on Stage Show at Hollywood Studios includes all the characters from the movie in a live retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story. Storytelling, singing and dancing are all included in this beautifully performed show, a must see for Beauty and the Beast movie fans. This is only performed a few times a day so check the guide for scheduled times. Unless the park is super crowded the day you are there, you can usually get a seat for this show and you shouldn’t need a fast pass. It also says it can be closed for weather since it is an outside theater.

Gaston’s Tavern

Not only can you meet Gaston at his tavern you can hang out at the tavern and get a giant cinnamon roll or other snacks served at the tavern. This is also on my list of places to try, I have missed this place in the past until someone mentioned how great the cinnamon rolls are but I have not had a chance to try them yet, this place is always packed. This is in the Beauty and the Beast themed area in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.

Meet The Little Mermaid and other Ariel experiences at Walt Disney World

Meet The Little Mermaid and other Ariel experiences at Walt Disney World

If you have someone who loves The Little Mermaid movie then going to meet The Little Mermaid, Ariel is something you will want to do when you are visiting Walt Disney World Parks. Here are all the places you can meet Ariel and all The Little Mermaid experiences within Walt Disney World.

WHERE CAN YOU MEET THE LITTLE MERMAID

Meeting The Little Mermaid at her Grotto

Ariel’s Grotto in the Magic Kingdom

You can meet Ariel at her Grotto in Fantasy Land at the Magic Kingdom, this is the only place you can meet The Little Mermaid as a mermaid.
If Ariel is a must-see character you can get a fast pass to see her.
It is just too cute when kids meet the princesses for the first time, my daughters looked at them so starry-eyed, you will definitely want to capture that moment so have your cameras ready. If you have the photo pass the photographers are usually really good about capturing everything from the time you walk in to meet them, they will usually photograph you and the characters first greeting and hugging the kids and everyone.
My daughters first time meeting Ariel she asked her where Flounder was and Ariel told her he was out swimming, so for the rest of that day she kept wanting to hang around the castle and watch the water around there to see if she could see Flounder.

WHERE YOU CAN MEET PRINCESS ARIEL

CHARACTER DINNERS

You can also meet Ariel and a few other princesses at a character dinner. This would be a great way to meet a few princesses if you have more than one on your must-see list.
Not all the character dinners have the photo pass available, but the times we have been you can get a photo pass photo with the host princess you meet before going into the dinner (Cinderella at her castle and Belle
at Akerhaus Hall), the photographers might not be available when you are meeting the other princesses during the meal so make sure you have your camera ready.

CINDERELLA’S ROYAL TABLE

Ariel is one of the princesses you can meet at Cinderella’s Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. This is a popular experience so advance reservations are almost always needed and can be made 180 days in advance. You meet Cinderella, your host, going into this dinner and the other princesses come and meet you at your table during the meal. The other princesses listed to meet here are Jasmine, Snow White, Ariel, and Aurora, this is subject to change at any time. We went to this dinner years ago and meet the Fairy Godmother, she is not listed as appearing but has an appearance within the park hours at the Magic Kingdom.

AKERSHUS ROYAL BANQUET HALL

You can also meet Ariel at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot within the Norway pavilion. Belle hosts this meal and I think you meet here going into the meal like the other Royal dinner at Cinderella’s Castle but I have not been to this diner to be sure, it is on my list of places to eat. The other princesses you can expect to meet during this dinner are Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel and Aurora. Appearances are subject to change.

underwater).
